The musical versions I've seen were done very well, but I can't take the story quite as seriously in song...and this is such an epic, poignant story, I want the full force. I'm avoiding the co...No, I have not read this. I'm avoiding the commitment. But I have seen it on stage, and I LOVE the 25th anniversary CONCERT @ the O2 featuring Alfie Boe and Ramin Karimloo. If you can catch some of the performances on Youtube. It's AMAZING!!! They've taken much of it down, but I own the DVD - and I've taken in so much of it that I know when I do read it, these performers will probably be my characters in the book. : D <br /><br />Good job getting this one done! Also saw the movie but I was put off by the fact that the well known actors sang, which I felt was only because they were well known names & not because of their singing ability. Great story, which I must read one day.
