ReplyDeleteYeah...I can somtimes get over not liking a character to still like the book, but in this case not so much. Still glad I read it.
DeleteI don't get the attraction to Heathcliff either. He's mad crazy and also very vindictive.

DeleteGatsby, Holden and Heathcliff are awesome, but I can see why many don't like them. Although anyone who enjoyed Moby Dick and Beloved definitely has different reading tastes than me! But it's nice to see more people reading the classics!

DeleteAmen to Heathcliff. And you might as well through Cathy in with him. Those two deserved each other. Faramir...I believe I've been in love with him for about 30 years. I think he's my favorite character from LOTR, and what the movie did to him made me so mad. And at the risk of offending everyone, (said quietly and ducking behind my chair just in case), I never really liked Sam.
