  1. Good choices! There are some on here I don't know. I really enjoyed Dune when I read it last year. Someday I hope I can get around to the rest of the books in that series.

  2. Great list! All classics. I read and enjoyed Frankenstein last Halloween. Also read Emma last year, but didn't love it. I've been meaning to get to David Copperfield.

Enjoy the rest of your reading this year!

  3. I haven't yet read many on your list, although Frakenstein and Dune are two I hope to get to at some point. Both are books I have wanted to read for awhile now. I really like Emma too. It's one of three Austen books I have read so far.

    1. You should definitely get to Frankenstein and Dune then. They are genres I'm not overly fond of, and I still found them fascinating.

  4. I love One Hundred Years of Solitude. Marquez is on my list to read more of.

    1. Yes, 100 Years was certainly an unexpected pleasure. I'm afraid I won't get around to anything else by Marquez anytime soon though.

  5. I've got I, Claudius on my TBR. I really should get to it soon. I have read Dickens for years but I have yet to read David Copperfield. My mom has a very old copy from her college days. I'm just afraid it will be a soppy romance. Evidently this one has somewhat of a plot. Rare for Dickens :)

    1. Oh my goodness yes....PLEASE read David Copperfield. I first read it some years ago, like it, didn't love it...always a little annoyed that it is considered his greatest over A Tale of Two Cities (which I still consider his greatest). But DC improved DRASTICALLY with the second read. NOT a soppy romance.
