ReplyDeleteI just jumped over to your reviews of The Road and Last of the Mohicans. I LOVED The Road. It was so effective and chilling. I agree w/ Rachel about your take on the fire.
I think I was reading Last of the Mohicans many years ago, and bc I expected and WANTED it to be like the film edition, I was disappointed that it did not follow and I quit. But it was a really, really long time ago, and I could have a different opinion today. Maybe. I wonder...
Happy New Year!
Yes, the film and book are quite different. I prefer the book, but I can understand if you saw the film first how you might favor it.
DeleteExcellent year of books! I read several of the Jack Reacher books a few years ago, then kinda stopped when the library never had the next one that I wanted to read, but I should get back into them. They're really fun.
ReplyDeleteYep, a lot of fun. I need to get back to this series also.
