Welcome to The Once Lost Wanderer. The name is derived from two poems: Amazing Grace by reformed slave trader John Newton, and All That is Gold Does Not Glitter by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Many years later, as he faced the firing squad...(Wednesday Quotation)

Many years later, as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendia was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice.

~ Opening line from One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

One of the best opening lines I've read. As always, remember, it's a quotation, not a quote.
