    1. I've not exhausted Dickens, or even close, but this is my second favorite, Tale of Two Cities being tops. Thanks Jillian!

  5. You've listed two of my favorite books: Cather's and Fowles' books. Call of the Wild bothered me tremendously when I read it; the violence was most memorable. I also was impressed with Beloved, but -- oddly enough -- I think the narrative was overwhelmed by the stylistic idiosyncracies. All the best from R.T. at Beyond Eastrod.
